H. Andrés Lagar-Cavilla

I am a software systems researcher. I build systems and do experimental work on virtualization, operating systems, security, cluster computing, etc.

I am the author of SnowFlock, VMGL, and Snowbird. I also was on the Patagonix team.

I work at AT&T Labs -- Research, since January 2010. My AT&T contact info is here.

I co-founded and am an advisor of GridCentric Inc, a Toronto virtualization startup.

I got my Ph.D. and M.Sc. from University of Toronto, under the supervision of Eyal de Lara.

Before my M.Sc. I graduated at Universidad Nacional del Sur in Bahia Blanca, Argentina.

I was awarded the 2010 NSERC Doctoral Prize. One of my papers earned the Eurosys 2009 Best Paper Award. I was a recipient of the NSERC Canada Graduate Scholarship. In Argentina I obtained three awards due to my GPA, the highest in the history of the University.
